| Lansing,
MI – January 2012 / Hospitality 1ST / Hospitality professionals can save
20 to 25 percent on hospitality management courses offered through the
American
Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute’s Distance Learning program
through March 15. All courses are available for $50 off the regular price.
EI
has more than 30 hospitality
management courses available online or through traditional print delivery
in topics ranging from front office, housekeeping, and facilities management
to hospitality accounting, sales and marketing, food and beverage service,
and spa management. The courses use the same textbooks taught in college
and university hospitality programs worldwide.
Distance
Learning students can earn individual course certificates or take multiple
courses to earn Certificates
of Specialization in eight different subject areas; Hospitality
Fundamentals Program certificate, Hospitality
Operations Certificate, or diplomas in either Hospitality
Management or Food
and Beverage Management. A new Dual
Diploma curriculum introduced last fall enables students to complete
a specific 15-course sequence to earn both the hospitality and food and
beverage management diplomas.
While
Distance Learning is ideal for working professionals who don’t have time
to attend college, many current EI Distance Learning students already have
a two-year or four-year degree. They take EI courses to keep up-to-date
on industry trends, prepare for a promotion or transfer, and enhance their
career skills and employability. Completion of certain Distance Learning
programs also counts toward the educational requirement for various EI
professional certifications.
During
the Distance Learning Winter Special, students save $50 off the AH&LA
member price of $200 per course, or the non-member price of $245 per course,
which includes a one-year AH&LA student membership. Multiple-course
programs offer additional savings. There is also a time-pay option available
on purchases of three or more courses. (Note: winter special savings apply
only to first time payment.)
There
are several ways to enroll: by downloading the Winter
Special application or completing the online
enrollment application, purchasing select courses through EI’s online
store, or by contacting the Distance Learning department at 800-390-8399
or 517-372-8800. Reference offer code CHILL to receive the Winter Special
savings.
